Catholic Identity

As a Catholic school, St. Patrick’s endeavors to teach the students the foundations of their faith; not only Catholic doctrine, but what it looks like to live in a Christian community. This is taught throughout the day during prayer, liturgy, academic subjects, and all activities. Other traditional practices of the Roman Catholic Church are also provided throughout the school year. Study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Gospel Values, Catholic Social Teachings, and the Beatitudes are part of the school curriculum. Students are required to memorize Catholic prayers as appropriate to their age. Students are expected to provide service to those less fortunate than they are.

Students participate in Mass twice each week (once for students in K-3 and K-4). All students who have made their First Communion have the opportunity to become an Altar Server and participate in school Masses. Students may also be gift bearers, lectors, ushers, and participants in the choir or cantor. Students' participation include:
