Catholic Identity

As a Catholic school, St. Patrick’s endeavors to teach the students the foundations of their faith; not only Catholic doctrine, but what it looks like to live in a Christian community. This is taught throughout the day during prayer, liturgy, academic subjects, and all activities. Students participate in Mass twice each week (once for students in K-3 and K-4), participation in the Circle of Grace Program, Stations of the Cross, Recitation of the Rosary, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, the Living Rosary, the Crowning of Mary, the Passion Play, the washing of the feet on Holy Thursday, and other traditional practices of the Roman Catholic Church. Study of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, Gospel Values, Catholic Social Teachings, and the Beatitudes are part of the school curriculum. Students are required to memorize Catholic prayers as appropriate to their age. Students are expected to provide service to those less fortunate than they are.
