St. Patrick School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department (TCCED), under the auspices of the Texas Education Association. The School holds membership with the National Catholic Education Association (NCEA).
In following with the Mission Statement and the Philosophy of Saint Patrick School the administration and staff of the school have developed a strong curriculum emphasizing the core subjects of Religion, Social Studies, Science, Math, English, and Reading, all provided in a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered Catholic environment. An accelerated Math Program is used in 1st through 6th grade, while Accelerated Reading begins in K-5 and continues through 6th grade. Student teacher ratio is approximately 18 to 1 and 22 to 2.
Classes in Spanish, Computer, Art, Music, and Counseling are included in addition to the main curriculum. Students are also able to participate in the Annual Science Fair, UIL competition and take MAT 8 Achievement tests. The school also has a completely new State of the Art Library and Study Center along with a Computer Lab, Art Lab, and Music Room.
Saint Patrick School, along with all the Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Corpus Christi, is on a modified Year Round School Calendar. The school year runs from the middle of August to the end of May. The school calendar includes a one-week fall break, Thanksgiving break, traditional Christmas Holiday and an extended Spring/Easter Break.
In 1986, 1997, and 2006, the U.S. Department of Education named Saint Patrick School a "Blue Ribbon" School of Excellence." Very few elementary schools (private or public) have received the award multiple times.
Student Achievement Test scores (Math and Reading) rank consistently in the top 10% Nationally.
Saint Patrick students who place in the school Science Fair advance to the Diocese of Corpus Christi Science Fair and then to the Coastal Bend Science Fair. In 2007 a St. Patrick student placed first overall in the Diocesan Science Fair.
St. Patrick School students, as they continue their education through middle school, high school, and college, have maintained high academic standards. Many become members of the National Junior Honor Society in 7th grade and remain in the National Honor Society through high school.
